Observation

This was a popular and straight forward question. The candidates were able to do justice to it and as a result they scored good marks in it.  Students were familiar with this story thereby answered it with ease. The emphasis was on the total destruction of Amalekites by King Saul’s army however the attitude of Saul’s disobedience to the commandment of God brought about his downfall. In the B part, candidates performed well because they were familiar with the consequences of Saul’s disobedience. Thus, they were able to draw out the character traits our leaders should avoid from the person of Saul.
