The major weakness of the candidates was their inability to express themselves correctly. Another weakness was that some candidates did not understand some terms use in the questions. Question 2 which requested the candidates to design a table d’lôte lunch menu for customers coming to a restaurant.
In order to overcome the above mentioned weakness, teachers should prepare their students on how to answer question.
The candidates should familiarize themselves with relevant textbooks and master the technical terms in catering craft practice. They should also practise more in writing so that they can master their expression.
