Question 6
(a) Highlight three major ways by which HIV/AIDS can be contracted
(b) State three reasons eradication of HIV/AIDS is still problematic in Nigeria.
Observation
This question was equally popular. Candidates are well informed about HIV/AIDS thus, questions coming from such aspect of the syllabus seems as though it is a walk over for them. Most of the candidates who attempted it performed creditably well and scored high marks. Nevertheless, in the B part, some candidates deprived themselves of good marks as they only listed the reasons eradication of HIV/AIDS is still problematic in Nigeria as against the full explanation to these points which would have given them full marks. In some other instances, they were writing about the cause for the spread of HIV/AIDS and also on stigmatization thereby deviating from the demands of the question. Candidates were expected to provide the following answers to B part of the question;
