State five efforts of Government in curtailing human trafficking in Nigeria

This question was equally popular as it attracted a vast percentage of the candidates. To majority of those who attempted it, their performances were incredible
. Additional points candidates could have given are
- Passage of the Traffic in Persons Prohibition and Administration Act in July 2003.
- Establishment of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP).
- Signing of the Child Rights Bill into law by the Akwa Ibom State Government on 5th December, 2008.
- Establishment of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF), a non-governmental organization founded by Mrs. Titilayo Atiku Abubakar, the wife of the former Nigerian Vice President for fighting against human trafficking.
- Provision of job through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to tackle unemployment which is a major cause of human trafficking.
- Collaboration/cooperation of Nigerian government with Public International Organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, etc to fight human trafficking.
- Cooperation between Nigeria and other nations to fight human trafficking.
- Collaboration/cooperation of government with other NGOs such as Amnesty International and Anti-Slavery International, etc to fight human trafficking.
- Advocacy/enlightenment campaign against human trafficking.
- Engagement in Youth Empowerment/skill acquisition programmes/schemes.
