Candidates were required to
- Enumerate parts of garments that are to be repaired often.
- State ways a nursing mother should care for her clothes.
- Mention accessories each used by the following groups of people:
(i) sports men;
(ii) traditional leaders;
(iii) soldiers.
Observation
In this question, all candidates that answered it performed excellently in them and scored high marks. This is one of the questions where candidates demonstrated their strength. Candidates were able to enumerate the parts of garments that are to be repaired often as armhole, neckline, crotch of pants/knickers/trousers, sleeve edge, pocket seams, elbow of sleeves, cuff of sleeves, slits on skirts. Candidates were also able to state ways a nursing mother should care for her clothes such as by washing clothes when dirty, mending clothes before laundering them, iron clothes before putting them away, disinfect clothes when necessary. Generally, the performance was very good in this question number.
