Candidates' Weakness
The Chief Examiner reported that the candidates’ weakness was evident in the following areas:
- Illegible handwriting;
- Incorrect spelling of computing terms;
- Poor knowledge of BASIC Programming.
- SUGGESTED REMEDIES
Based on the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended the following remedies:
- Computer teachers with sound knowledge in programming should be employed to teach the subject;
- Teachers should pay more attention to the programming section of the syllabus;
- Teachers should emphasize on keyword spellings;
- Students should write clearly and legibly;
- Parents should aide their children on good handwriting practices.
