Question 4
You are the main speaker in a debate on the topic: Children of literate parents perform better in school than those of illiterate parents. Write your arguments for or against the motion.
Observation
As the main speaker in a debate, the candidate was required to write his/her argument for or against the motion: “Children of literate parents perform better in school than those of illiterate parents.”
This was not a popular question before the candidates. Many of the candidates struggled to convincingly express their views on the motion. Some of the candidates wrote on illiterate/literate children instead of literate/illiterate parents. However, most candidates got the vocatives right.
