Observation

The passage was interesting, the subject matter was within the grasp of the candidates and the information required for answering content questions correctly was very clear in the passage. However, most candidates performed poorly. Some of the candidates’ quoted whole sentences from the passage as answers. In question 6(g), many candidates could not identify the grammatical name and state the function of the given expression correctly. Also, question 6(h) was poorly attempted by most candidates
