Observation

The passage was interesting and treated a topical issue. Some candidates understood the passage and were able to answer questions based on the passage correctly. Aside this, the information required for answering content questions correctly was very clear in the passage. However, some candidates did not demonstrate a clear understating of the passage. Such candidates resorted to copying portions of the passage as answers.
Many of the candidates could not give the meaning of the expression “think outside the box.”
The vocabulary test, Question 6(h) was poorly attempted by candidates.
