- Candidates should:
 - endeavour to improve on their vocabulary of English Language through extensive reading;
 - learn the rules of English grammar and their exceptions;
 - take time to understand the exact demands of questions before attempting to answer them;
 - read through their work to correct spelling and grammatical mistakes before submitting their scripts;
 - read for meaning and main points of any given passage;
 - practise essay writing constantly;
 - converse regularly in simple and correct English expressions;
 - draw an outline of their essays before writing them;
 - write clearly and legibly.
