- Explain the term GPRS.
 - State one difference between SIMlock and netlock.
 
Candidates were able to give only the meaning of the acronym GPRS in question 2(a). 98% of the candidates could not answer question 2(b) correctly.
Observation
The expected answers are:
- GPRS means General Packet Radio Service. It is a wireless data service technology available on phones that need to be activated to access the internet.
 
(b)(i) SIMlock: This  refers to a SIM card customised to a phone such that no other SIM card can work  with the phone.
    (ii) Netlock: This is done by the service  provider to certain phones such that SIM cards      from other network providers cannot work  with such phones.
