Candidates' Weakness

 

Candidates’ weaknesses were manifested in their inability to

  • Write the names of the collars in the spaces provided in I, 11, III and IV;
  • List parts of a shirt collar;
  • Mention the types of ties that are used along with a shirt;
  • Draw a dress with frills at the hemline;
  • Outline ways of attaching frills to a garment;
  • State steps on how crossway strips can be joined;
  • Write uses of crossway strips.

            To overcome these weaknesses,

  • Teacher should teach candidates using technical terms/ terminology;
  • There should be educational workshop for teachers at intervals to update their knowledge;
  • Teachers should expose candidates to all learning possibilities through research works, use of visual and audio visuals.
  • Only qualified teachers should teach the subject because of the technical aspects.
