(i) Early preparation for the examination
If candidates commence reading on time, they will be able to cover the syllabus early enough before the commencement of the examination. They will also be able to understand the basic facts about what they are studying better.
(ii) Proper understanding of the use of English
Since English is the official language, it is expected that candidates master the language of communication in order for them to be efficient in expressing their opinions and for them to explain geographical facts and principles clearly.
(iii) Practising the drawing of diagrams
Since diagrams are required to explain some geographical features and phenomena, it is expected that candidates practise the drawing of diagrams while reading any topic so that whenever required, they will be able to properly illustrate such in examinations.
(iv) Adequate explanation of points
Most geography questions require one form of explanations or the other. It should be brought to the knowledge of the candidates that they are required to explain most of the points they raise in order to score full marks.
