Candidates' Strenghts
Most of the candidates were able to:
- draw the internal structure of the earth showing the lithosphere, core and mantle;
- outline the characteristics of the lithosphere;
- state the ways in which the hydrosphere was important to mankind.
Some of them also adequately defined igneous rocks, describe the characteristics of igneous rocks and stated the ways rocks were important to man. Quite a good percentage of the candidates were able to define atmospheric resources, listed various atmospheric resources and mentioned the ways in which atmospheric resources were important.
