This was a popular question that attracted majority of the candidates. However, most candidates that answered the question misunderstood the intention of the question, they misfired by explaining factors for military intervention in politics instead of reluctance in relinquishing power to civilian administration. This affected candidates' performance. Their overall performance was below average. Better still, the few good candidates who knew the requirement of the question stated some of the following reasons:
-Desire to ensure that they totally eliminate the political party they unlawfully overthrew;
- Some of the soldiers begin to feel that they are better administrators than their civilian counterparts;
-The support from civilians who benefit from military administration; --Disunity among civilian politicians, etc. |
