(b) State four ways a citizen can participate in the affairs of a state.
Observation
This was a popular question and was attempted by most of the candidates. The performance of the candidates who attempted it was good as they really understood its demands. However, some candidates did not do well in part (b) by mere listing of points. The candidates were expected to provide the following answers to the question.
- It is citizens’ involvement in politics/political activities and decision making in a state.

- Attendance of political rallies and campaigns/ political education.
- Financing / sponsoring of political parties/candidates.
- Voting during elections.
- Participation in political debates/analyses/predictions/discussions.

- Attending political meetings.
- Serving as election observers.
- Protests and demonstrations.
- Registration as a voter.
- Composition of party anthem, songs, jingles, wearing of face caps, vests, etc.
- Donations to political parties: monetary or materials.
