Observation

The question  required that candidates should explain the manner of articulation of the approximants in (a) and the stop in (b). The following points are expected to be captured by the candidates:

            Kusantau:
›  gavovin furuci kan kusanci juna;
›  iska za ta fice ba tare da tangarxa ba;
                        ›  samar da sautin  /y/ da /w/.

            Tsayau:
›  haxewar gavovin furuci;
›  tsayawar iska na xan lokaci;
›  sakin ko ficewar iska;
›  swamar da sautin /b/, /v/, /x/, /q/, /g/, /n/, /t/ da sauransu.  

Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was fair.
