This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was poor. In part (a)(i) many candidates correctly listed food sources of vitamin B and in(a)(ii) many candidates could not correctly state deficiencies of vitamin B. In part (b) candidates could not correctly state functions of vitamin B. In part (c) candidates could not correctly state symptoms of marasmus, they wrote swollen stomach, narrow leg and skin infection as symptoms of marasmus instead of swollen legs, shrunken appearance, retarded growth, wrinkled skin and lost of hair.
