General Comments

 

The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were straight forward and also covered wide range of the syllabus. The marking was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates was better than the previous year with a candidates population of 14,254 which had a raw mean score of 35 and standard deviation of 10.34 against had a raw mean score of 28 and standard deviation of 11.79 for the School Candidates 2016 WASSCE which had a candidates population of 14,096.
