The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years.  The questions were unambiguous and also covered wide range of the syllabus.  The marking scheme was flexible and comprehensive.

The performance of the candidates was better than the previous year with a candidates population of 26,399 which had a raw mean score of 36 and standard deviation of 14.14 against a raw mean score of 30 and standard deviation of 15.07 for the May/June 2013 WASSCE,  which had a candidates population of 27,013.
