Weakness and Remedies

 

 

Candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:

  • spell correctly
  • write in simple English Language
  • identify the illustrated diagram
  • state  human habits that could make the illustrated organ healthy
  • mention the system that would be affected if heart is damaged
  • mention four injuries that could affect the illustrated muscular system
  • state materials that could be used in giving first Aid to muscular system if it is injured
  • state  possible movement at the elbow joint
  • state the activity to be carried out on  after use
  • define hard drugs
  • describe briefly how movement is brought about at the elbow joint
  • state the causative organism of the certain communicable diseases
  • state causes of fire outbreak in the home
  • mention the degrees of burns
  • state characteristics of the degrees of burns
  • name pioneer in mental health from West

 

The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:

  • teachers should endeavour to use instructional materials especially when teaching aspects that have diagrams in health education
  • teachers should also focus on pioneers of  health when teaching
  • teachers should recommend textbooks that covered wide range of the syllabus for students
  • students should be encouraged to cultivate habit of seriousness when in school and home
  • government should recruit more qualified health education teachers
also a special call to principals/school administrators health education should be assigned  to health education specialist in schools.
