Observation

Many candidates attempted this question and their performance was fair. In part (a) some candidates could not correctly mention sources of industrial pollution.  In part (b) majority of the candidates correctly stated methods of refuse disposal. In part (c) they did well in it.

• composting
• tipping/sanitary land fill
• use of incinerators 
• shredding
