(i) Inadequate preparation for Examinations: Students have poor reading habits and this could be remedied by students forming study groups when the examination is approaching and helping each other in areas of weaknesses. They should also ensure that they cover all aspects of the syllabus.
(ii) Poor communication skill: Many of the candidates were unable to express themselves and put forward their ideas in good English. This could be solved if students are encouraged to write long essays and listen to or partake in public speeches that will help improve their command of English Language.
(iii) Poor articulation and emphasis on irrelevant points: Many candidates could not articulate their points and wasted a lot of time on irrelevant points. They could improve if they are encouraged to read relevant textbooks. Also, the school management should ensure that those textbooks were made available in school libraries.
