Observation

This was a popular question but was poorly answered by the candidates. A few candidates understood the question but others focused on benefits Nigeria has derived from the commonwealth. The under listed points were expected to be outlined by candidates in order to get good marks.

(i)  Regular payment of her dues.
(ii)  Regular attendance at meetings of the Commonwealth.
(iii) Nigeria spoke strongly against colonialism at Commonwealth meetings.
(iv) Nigeria trained officers from member countries in her Military Academy.
(v)  She also provided personnel for the Commonwealth Secretariat and for other programmes.
(vi) Nigeria participated in Commonwealth games.
