Majority of the candidates did not write the number of each question at the top of each page. Their weakness was on questions 3 and 4 which were on definition of siblings, types of parent – child relationship, characteristics of the last stage of family life circle, and explanation of terms in consumer education.
Teachers should find time to revise the work with their students’ especially abstract topics or those that seem difficult to understand. Teachers should emphasise definition of terms as related to various topics. Teachers should go for refresher courses. Teachers should devote time in teaching the students using good English. Home management teachers should endeavour to drill their students on the rubrics and instructions to follow which are clearly stated on the question paper.
