Observation

The candidates were required (a) to state the uses of electricity in the home. Majority of the candidates would not answered correctly e.g electricity are used for water plate, to generate water instead of provide light to the rooms, for cooking, The  b  part of the question expected the candidates to list utilities in the home. Some of  the  candidates misinterpreted utilities as kitchen utensils while others listed electric equipment e.g  plates, bowl, blender and mixer instead of water, electricity and fuel.

The c part of the question required the candidates to state guidelines for the use of electric iron. Majority of the candidates preformed averagely well. While few of the candidates give answer for what iron is used for e.g for straightening of fabric instead of guidelines e.g standing of a heated iron on it sole when not in use, setting of iron temperature to suit the fabric etc. The d part of the question requested the candidates to state the factors to be consider when choosing a house. This question was well attended but with low performance.
