Observation

Candidates performance on question 3 was average. The ‘a’ part of the question  request the candidates to list the classes of toys/play materials and give examples of each. Majority  candidates just mention toys for play e.g soft toys, hard toys, big and small toys instead of toys for exploration, muscular and creativity. Only few candidates answered the question correctly. The ‘b’ part required ways by which beans can be prepared for baby during weaning. Majority of the candidates wrote method of cooking e.g boiling, frying and no emphasis on steaming and boiling until soft. While the ‘c’ part question was to state causes of rashes on babies.

Majority of the candidates wrote their answers as heredity, poor feeding, not bathing the baby every time instead of excessive heat, dirt napkins and not changing diaper when soiled etc. In the ‘b’ part of the question few candidates that attempted were able to answer correctly. For the ‘c’ part of the question candidates performance was averagely.
