Observation

A. Here, the candidate was expected to write a letter to his/her sibling abroad, telling him/her the progress made in their state since the emergence of the new governor.
The expected points are as follows:

  • oge o malitere chiwa
  • ihe mgbanwe o webatarala na steeti dika:
    • ikwu ndioru ugwo onwa n’oge
    • imepe ulo ngwaahia ebe niile
    • inye ndi ntorobia oru
    • iweputa ego mgbazinye maka ndi oru ubi, ndi ojiegoachoego, ndi oruaka, dg
    • iwebata ihe ndi eji enyere ndu aka na steeti

B. The candidate was expected to write on what can be done to reduce the bad behaviour among the youths.
Part of the points expected are:
-      isiokwu

    • okwu mmalite
    • ihe ndi bu agwa ojoo - izuohi, ntoro mmadu, inu anwuruike na mmanya

C.   Candidates were expected to write an argumentative essay on the motion: ‘Training a male child in school is more beneficial to parents than training a female child’.
They were to give their points based on their views.

The expected points for the proposing side:

    • O ga-eme ka ezinaulo nwee onye bara uru ga-ebichi ngwuru nna ha.
    • O ga-eme ka nne na nna nwee onye enyemaka ga-azu ndi so ya n’azu.

    • O ga-eme ka o nweta ezigbo oru.

Expected points for the opposing side:

    • Nwaanyi guru akwukwo na-enye nne na nna ugwu puru iche.
    • O na-enwe ugwu n’obodo.
    • O na-enweta ezigbo oru.
    • O na-elekota ndi muru ya anya nke oma.
    • O na-aluta ezigbo di.
    • O na-egbo mkpa ezinaulo ebe a muru/ lụrụ ya.
    • O naghi aburu ndi muru ya ibu aro.
    • O na-azu umunne ya.

D. Candidates were required to write on a proverb that says: “Ebe oku nyuru a wusa owa” which means a man stops work whenever he is exhausted.
Candidates were expected to explain the proverb before telling an appropriate story.


E.  In this question, candidates were asked to discuss in a dialogue form, the challenges which their friend whose husband resides abroad has been facing in their two years of marriage.
