Observation

Candidates were expected to in (a) write out two effects of not tone marking some words; in (b) name the group of sounds that carry tone marks in Igbo and the sounds that make up the group; in (c) to tone mark some given words: esu, Amaka, ite, ego, oriri.

Expected answers:
(a) Ọ na-ebute mgbagwojuanya na nghọta mkpụrụokwu.
- Ọ na-eme ka a ghara ịmata mbunuche odee.
- Ọ na-ebute mkpọhie mkpụrụokwu/ agụpụtaghị mkpụrụokwu nke ọma.
