Observation

This question was from oral poetry titled Abụ Akwamozu.

Candidates were asked to state four endearing names the poet gave to his mother and how the poet described himself due to his mother’s death in (a); in (b) how the poet described the father of the subject in the poem “Ọpara Siri Ike” and in (c) the hardship the poet’s  sister passed through when she was alive in the poem “Ada Nne M”.
The expected answers were as follows:
(a)        (i)         - Ọnyeọnụma
- Ogbu ebila
- Onye ọma
- Mma
- Onye dị mma

            (ii)        - Anụọhịa a naara nwa ya.
- Onye iberiibe.
- Ọkụkọ gara ịbọrọ nri, mmiri erughị eru sụgburu.
- Onye ji egwu na-akwa ụwa.
- Onye ji anyammiri achọ nne ya.
- Onye na-ebe ụwa onye nwụrụ anwụ.
- Onye na-akwa ụwa onye lara azụ.

            (b)       -           O mere ihe ji.
-           Ọ lụrụ ndom/ ụmụnwaanyị asaa.
-           Ọ mụrụ ụmụnwoke ohu abụọ/iri anọ.
-           Ọ mụrụ ụmụnwaanyị iri ise.
-           Ọ zụrụ mmadụ asaa na kọleeji.
-           O zigara otu nwa ya ala Bekee.
-           Ọ bụghị onye ohi.
-           Ọ bụghị onye agwa ọjọọ./ Ọ naghị akpa nsi.
-           O mere ihe amaala niile.
(c)        -           Ihe siiri ya ike.
-           Ume nwa mere ya./ Ụmụ nwụnahụrụ ya.
-           Ụkọ ego kọrọ ya./ Ọ dara ogbenye.
-           Ọ mụghị ọtụtụ ụmụ.
-           Ọ kaghị nka nwụọ./ Ọ nwụrụ n’oge.

 Few candidates answered this question and their output was very discouraging.
