Examine the consequences of vanity in the poem “Vanity”.
Observation
This was a popular question. However, many of the candidates failed to meet the demands of the question as they wrote on vanity, rather, that its consequences.
The required answers should include:
- Virtues and wisdom of our ancestors.
- The rejection of the ancestors’ appeal.
- The ridicule /mockery that the living are now confronted with “large mouths shaped by the laughter by the children”.
Candidates’ performance was fair.
