Question 10
Examine the persona’s resolve to be a revolutionary in The Dining Table.
Observation
This was an unpopular question. The few candidates who attempted this question failed to mention the effect of the war on the people as their narrations were scanty and merely revolved around the poet.
Candidates were expected to discuss the following points:
- Statement of the theme.
- The traumatic experience of a family at the table.
- Hunger in the post-war society.
- All round insecurity and danger.
- The cumulative effect.
Candidates’ performance was poor.
