This seemed to be the most popular question with candidates. Most of the candidates understood the demands of this question and a good number scored good marks. While a handful of other merely narrated the character of Chief.

The following points were expected from the candidates:

• Statement of the central theme.
• Character description of Chief.
• His actions: embezzlement of funds, abuse of office, bribery of the officials of the justice system etc.
• Aloho’s frustrated trip to the USA as the initial sign of Chief’s downfall.
• His eventual downfall: Ogeyi reports him to the police.
• His arrest, prosecution and imprisonment. 

Candidates’ performance in this question was very good.
