This was a popular question. Candidates who attempted this question were able to place the fortunes of the government driver while he was still in active service against his fortune after his retirement.
Candidates are expected to discuss the following:

• Identify the central theme of temperance and moderation.

• Definition/explanation of contrast.
• The driver’s commitment.
• The driver’s self-control.
• The driver’s excessive joy on the day of his retirement.
• His disciplined unblemished civil service life had erstwhile protected him. However, his unfettered care-free and dangerous behaviour ends his life tragically.
