General Comments

The Chief Examiner reported that the standard of the paper compared favourably with those of the previous years. According to the report, the paper had a lot of diagrams and illustrations which were geared towards enhancing candidates’ understanding. It also had a good coverage of the different sections of the syllabus and was within the ability of an average candidate. The rubrics were also reported to be clear and unambiguous. The report further stated that the marking scheme was not only well prepared and detailed, but was also easy to use and very lenient to the candidates.

The Chief Examiner also reported that candidates’ performance appeared to be poorer than that of last year.
