- Functions of a lens in photography
- It controls the amount/quantity of light entering the camera through the aperture.
- It determines the sharpness of the image.
- It determines the final quality of the image.
- It gathers light from the subject/object for recording/capturing as permanent images on the film or through the sensor in the camera.
- Enables the photographer see the object/subject to be recorded/captured through the viewfinder/LCD especially in SLR/DSLR cameras.
