The question was  avoided by many candidates. Candidates performance was poor. The candidates  were expected to provide the following answers in order to score good marks:

(b)  -  It  has two lenses; 
    -      the upper lens is for viewing and  focusing;
- the lower lens (taking lens) is used for taking the photograph;
 - the image carrying light strikes the fixed mirror through the viewing lens;
 
- the image is reflected to the ground glass focusing screen;
 - the photographer focuses until sharpness is obtained;
 - aperture and shutter speed are set;
 - the shutter opens to allow the image forming light to expose the film.
