The question was avoided by many candidates. Candidates performance was poor. The candidates were expected to provide the following answers in order to score good marks:
(a) Fig. 4  -   Box/instamatic
 Fig. 5  -  Range finder
Fig. 6   -  Pocket Camera/Miniature Format Camera/110 Film Camera
 Fig. 7   - Polaroid Land Camera/Instant Camera
 Fig. 8   -  35 mm/SLR

(b)  -  It has two lenses;
-      the upper lens is for viewing and focusing;

  •       the lower lens (taking lens) is used for taking the photograph;
  •       the image carrying light strikes the fixed mirror through the viewing lens;
  •       the image is reflected to the ground glass focusing screen;
  •       the photographer focuses until sharpness is obtained;
  •       aperture and shutter speed are set;
  •       the shutter opens to allow the image forming light to expose the film.
