Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fairly well. In part (a) some candidates correctly stated importance of sportswear. In part (b) many candidates correctly stated values of recreation to individual.

(b)      VALUES OF RECREATION TO INDIVIDUALS

-           proper use of leisure time
-           increases social interaction/integration
-           reduces juvenile delinquency/social crimes
-           encourages socially acceptable behaviours
-           gives opportunity for creativity
-           gives opportunity for the development of sports skills
-           reduces tension/stress/anxiety
-           provides medium for fun/relaxation/enjoyment
-           develops spirit of sportsmanship
-           provides opportunity for exploration/adventure
