These questions posed some difficulty to the  candidates as they could not provide the right responses to the questions. The  required responses are given below.

(b) -           Cesspool  is a large concrete container or tank which retains and does not 
    decompose soil waste  from soil appliances.
- It does not discharge into a soak-away. It is usually used in waterlogged or confined areas where digging of soak-away is not possible.
-           Cesspool is usually larger than  septic tank
    -           Septic tank discharges into a soak-away
    -           Cesspool is a water tight chamber  sighted below ground level.
(c)soil appliance is designed to receive and dispose off excretory matter e.g. W.C, bidet, urinals, squatting pan and slop hopper.
