Candidates' Weakness

Many candidates, as reported, showed weakness in response to questions in the areas of:

1. transistor amplifier circuits;
2. entrepreneurship.

Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that, to correct these weaknesses, candidates should:

• be properly taught the circuit analysis and semiconductor devices ;
• not only limit themselves to ‘recall’ type questions as examination will always cover other question types.
