CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES
Some of the weaknesses observed in the candidates’ scripts were:
- Poor knowledge of the subject matter as the candidates could not satisfactorily attempt questions on store management and importance of store management.
- Majority of the candidates did not do well in the question on computation and calculation. This was in question seven (7).
SUGGESTED REMEDIES
- The candidates should learn the use of English grammar to enable them express their points clearly and correctly.
- Government should endeavour to recruit qualified teachers with qualification in B.Sc/HND graduates in Purchasing and Supply, Accounting Business Education as this is a new subject.
- Teachers should thoroughly teach the candidates the aspect of Stock Valuation
- Candidates should study standard text books as recommended by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in preparing for the examination rather than answering questions with residual knowledge.
