Observation

This question was attempted lackadaisically where there was no spectators at all the background, just one or two footballers were represented or just a goal net and a ball as in some candidates work. The candidates performed averagely. The candidates were expected to answer in this manner:

A. DRAWING                          

1. Effective drawing of figures: players, referee, spectators and objects in the setting of “it’s a-goal!”.
2. Emphasis on use of perspective and proportions.

B. COMPOSITION                              
(i) Suitable arrangement of figures and objects to achieve balance, rhythm, variety, unity etc.                                                                                                    
(ii)  Judicious use of space provided.                                                                             
(iii) Should depict a suitable background.            

                                                         
C. COLOUR                                         

(i)  Choice of harmonious and contrasting colours.                                                      

(ii)  Proper use of tonal range and texture.                                                                     

(iii)  Effective mixing and application of colours.    

D.  INTERPRETATION                      

(i)  Appropriate visual representation of the event producing it’s a goal! 

E. ORIGINALITY                               

1. Overall visual effect of the work.
2. Personalized style in the use of medium.
