The candidates were unable to:
 -   name  the crops that would thrive well on specimens A(Clayey soil) and  B(Sandy soil);
-    state general ways of maintaining specimens H(Shears) and I(Sickle);
-    state the precautions to be taken when  using specimen J(knapsack sprayer);
-     calculate the percentage of maize seeds  that germinated;
-    calculate the percentage of maize seeds  that did not germinate;
-    suggest reasons why some of the seeds did  not germinate;
-    state reasons why the use of  specimen P(Sawdust)  is not recommended in a brooder house;
-     mention other materials that could be used  in place of specimen P(Saw dust) in  a brooder house;
-     give the name given to the product formed  when poultry droppings mix with specimen P (Saw dust); and
-    state the uses of the product mentioned  (farmyard manure).
Based on the observed  weaknesses, the Chief  Examiners  recommended as follow:
                        
                          - Aspects of the syllabus such as soil science,  seed germination, brooding and control of pests should be emphasized by  teachers;
 
                          - Only graduates of Agricultural  Science/Agriculture should be allowed to teach the subject in Senior Secondary  Schools.
