Candidates’ Weaknesses

Candidates’ weaknesses as reported are summarized as follows:

  1. a good number of them could not draw the graph in Question 2;
  2. very few of them were able to make sensible comments on the results in Questions 1 and 2.

(b)     Suggested Remedies

It is suggested that to remedy this weakness:

  1. qualified technical teachers were required to expose the candidates to drawing graphs from set of data. This shall include ability to determine  axes; choose scale, plot points and join the points and draw the slope of a graph;
  2. candidates should be taught how to perform and the know-how of experiments since performance in practical activities demands a knowledge of the basic ideas directing the activities.
