Candidates' Weakness
Candidates’ performance revealed their lack of understanding in the use of the measuring instruments as well as inability to plot graphs correctly. This showed they are not familiar with the process of conducting experiments and the use of measuring instruments.
Suggested Remedies
This weakness can be overcome by:
- exposure of candidates to several practical sessions (hands-on in the use of measuring instruments is necessary);
- stakeholders providing functional electrical equipments, tools, instruments and consumables to secondary schools for practical session to ease transfer of formidable psycho-skills before examinations;
- teachers mastering the use of electrical measuring instruments in order to offer effective tutorship to candidates.
