Majority of the candidates answered these questions which were on literary appreciation of the given poetic excerpts on different periods of Arabic Literature. This literary appreciation was inclusive of the names of the poets of the excerpts given in questions 2 and 5. Those candidates with good background of Arabic performed creditably well. They achieved this by giving the names of the poets as required and by doing a thorough exposition of the given poetic lines.
