Observation

Candidates were required to write about any three out of five characters they were given from the novel titled “at-Tabaqatul ‘Ulya” by Professor Zakariyya Oseni. The candidates did justice to this question by writing extensively on their characters of choice out of Malam Abdul Mu‘izz bn. Gomina; al-Amir Abdul Muqsit Finafina; Fudibaba Akaba; Al-‘Arif Abdul Hadi and as-Sayyidah Adesu. The personality and the role played by each of these characters in the novel were focussed on by the candidates. As such, they did creditably well.
