There were five questions in this part, spread across the four periods of Arabic Literature. Candidates were expected to answer question 1 and any other three.

Observation
This was a compulsory question based on an excerpt from the poetic work of Abdulahi b. Fudi. Many candidates did justice to it as performance was generally good in this question.
