The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years.
The rubrics were clear, the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of the
syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.
The performance of the candidates was slightly better than that of the previous year comparing the mean score of 22 and standard deviation of 10.58 with the mean score of 20
and the standard deviation of 11.45 for the Nov/Dec 2008 WASSCE.
