Candidate's Strength

 

The observed strengths of the candidates include:

  • writing answers neatly and clearly;
  • ability to answer the three questions required of them;
  • ability to follow the instructions of the questions;
  • ruling guidelines with pencil
  • ability to name the organisms from which specimens C (Gill of fish), D (Lung of small mammal) and E (Dicotyledonous leaf) are obtained in question 2 (a);
  • ability to identify similarities between specimens;
  • ability to state the function common to specimens C (Gill of fish), D (Lung of small mammal) and E (Dicotyledonous leaf) in question 2 (a) (ii);
  • a few candidates could give good drawings of specimens C (Gill of fish) and K (Pride of Barbados flower) in questions 2 (c) and 4 (f);
  • ability to name the floral parts of specimen K (Pride of Barbados flower) in question 4(a) (i);
  • ability to give the theoretical reason for naming the sex of specimen K (Pride of Barbados flower) in question 4(b) (ii).
